A study has made a comparison with social conditions and the incidence of depression in eighteen countries around the world.

According to the research, 15% of the people from countries with higher income compared to 11% of the people from countries with low to middle income were more prone to become depressed throughout their lifetime with 5.5% having depression in the past year.
